Getting Started Guide

This getting started guide covers installing the DocMaster AI Excel add-in and running your first test of details — from uploading supporting documents to producing a review-ready table in your spreadsheet.

Before you start

DocMaster AI runs inside Microsoft Excel as an add-in, so you work in the spreadsheet you already use. Before the first run you will need:

  • Microsoft Excel, with permission to install add-ins
  • A Microsoft account to sign in — DocMaster AI uses Microsoft identity sign-in
  • Your accounting records in a sheet, including the columns you want to match on (for example date, vendor, amount and a reference)
  • The supporting documents for the sample you are testing

If you do not have an account yet, start with the 7-day free trial.

The four steps

A test of details in DocMaster AI follows the same four steps each time. How it works walks through the same process with a worked example.

Working with the results

Matched output is written back into Excel, so the working paper stays in the format your file review already expects. Documents can be in almost any language, and multilingual invoices are handled without separating them first.

Extracted results are retained for the life of your account so they remain available for review, and can be deleted on request. The data security page sets out how documents are transmitted and where they are processed.

Support and resources

Common questions about file formats, supported document types and billing are answered in the Help Center. For anything not covered there, contact DocMaster AI by email or phone.

If you are still evaluating, the pricing page lists per-user plans and what each includes.
